About This Tour
The birth of this lagoon is linked to the legend of the brothers Ausangate and Salkantay, so you should not miss this story by visiting the lagoon, where you can have unforgettable experiences. Humantay is a lagoon with turquoise waters surrounded by imposing snowcaps and mountains, this lagoon is located at about 4,200 meters above sea level, and it is one of the most important tourist destinations in Peru.

- We start the day with the pick-up from your respective accommodation between 04:00 and 04:30 am to go with transportation to the town of Mollepata (2 hrs and 30 min drive approx.).
- On the route, we will be able to observe beautiful landscapes and crops of different products such as Corn, Avocado, and Squash among other characteristic products of this Valley.
- Upon arriving at the destination we will take time to enjoy and taste our local breakfast.
- Then we will resume our trip to Soraypampa (Located 3,880 meters above sea level).
- At this point, we will take a break to prepare our equipment and begin the walk that lasts around 1 hour 40 minutes towards the Humantay Lagoon (located at 4,180 meters above sea level).
- The group remains in said place for around 1 hour, enjoying the view and landscape of the imposing snow-capped mountain, connecting with nature.
- Around noon we will begin the descent arriving at Soraypampa, the transport will take us to a local restaurant to enjoy a delicious lunch included in the package.
- Finally, we will return to the City of Cusco, our estimated arrival time is 18:00 p.m. approximately, leaving you at a point close to the main square.
- Note: During the ascent, you will have the opportunity to rent a horse that will serve as a backup in case of an emergency since the change in altitude is very acute (The rental is negotiated directly with the residents of said town and could cost between S/. 80.00 to S/.90.00 soles).
- It is recommended that tourists arrive at least 2 days to obtain a good acclimatization.
Note: During the ascent, you will have the opportunity to rent a horse that will serve as a backup in case of an emergency since the change in altitude is very acute (The rental is negotiated directly with the residents of said town and could cost between S/. 80.00 to S/.90.00 soles).
